In the last 100 years, human activity has raised Earth's average temperature by approximately 1.1°C. The consequences - melting ice caps, rising seas, and intensifying weather - are already being felt worldwide.
BYD was founded in 1995 with a single belief: better batteries change the world. Today, with over 10 million electric vehicles on global roads, every BYD car sold is a direct reduction in fossil fuel dependence and a measurable step toward reversing the damage.
In Pakistan - where 97% of vehicles still run on petrol or diesel - BYD Pine Avenue is bringing that transition home. Every EV registered in Lahore prevents an estimated 2.3 tonnes of CO₂ per year compared to an equivalent combustion vehicle.

ZERO-EMISSION VEHICLES
Every BYD model sold globally is a battery electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle. BYD has not sold a pure combustion vehicle since 2022 - the first major automaker to make that transition. In Pakistan, every BYD on the road eliminates an average of 2.3 tonnes of CO₂ per year versus an equivalent petrol car.

BLADE BATTERY - CLEAN CHEMISTRY
BYD's proprietary Blade Battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) - an iron and phosphate-based chemistry that contains no cobalt and no nickel. These materials are scarce, mined under difficult conditions, and energy-intensive to process. LFP is more sustainable at every stage: mining, manufacturing, and end-of-life recycling.

RENEWABLE MANUFACTURING
BYD's manufacturing plants are progressively powered by solar and wind energy. The company operates its own solar panel division and has installed large-scale renewable capacity across its global facilities. BYD has committed to achieving carbon neutrality across its full manufacturing chain by 2035.
